El brief

01

Nordvél, a Norwegian outdoor apparel brand, was loved by a loyal customer base in Scandinavia but couldn't break into broader European markets. Their paid acquisition was inefficient with ROAS stuck below 1.5.

El desafío

02

Build a profitable growth engine for new European markets. Improve ROAS significantly, grow monthly revenue, while preserving brand premium positioning.

Nuestro enfoque

03

Full-funnel rebuild: creative system with multiple ad variants by archetype, CRM email engine, site CRO, localized content per market (French, German, Dutch). A growth engine, not a campaign.

El resultado

04

Q1 → Q2: ROAS improved from 1.2 to 3.4. Monthly revenue grew significantly. Expanded to multiple new European markets with a defensible growth flywheel that compounds quarter on quarter.

Nuestra perspectiva

Lo que este proyecto nos enseña sobre el oficio.

Why most outdoor DTC brands plateau

We work with a lot of DTC brands in the outdoor space, and almost every one of them hits a wall around €5–10M ARR. The reason is rarely the product. It's that they've optimized one channel (usually Meta) for a single audience archetype, and they keep buying the same customer at an ever-rising cost. Nordvél was in that exact pattern when we came in. Their creative was strong, their product was loved, but their growth engine was monochrome.

Local relevance is the new performance lever

International expansion isn't a translation problem. It's a cultural relevance problem. The same product gets bought for different reasons in Munich, Lyon and Amsterdam. Our work on Nordvél started by mapping the actual job-to-be-done in each market — outdoor identity in Germany is engineered, in France it's aspirational, in the Netherlands it's commuter-pragmatic. From there, we rebuilt the creative system with three archetype-specific story arcs, each backed by data on what made local customers click, save and share.

Why CRM beats acquisition every time

Once you have a working acquisition channel, the next leverage point isn't 'more acquisition'. It's the second and third purchase from customers you've already paid to acquire. Nordvél's CRM, when we started, was three batch newsletters per month. We rebuilt it into a segmented lifecycle engine — 8 automated flows, dynamic content per segment, three languages — that quietly compounds revenue every quarter. The flow that returned the most ROI? A 'six months later' check-in email. Pure CRM hygiene, no clever copywriting required.
